  • Juried events.
  • Only handmade/original designs are allowed to be sold.
  • Single booths are approx. 12d x 16w for $125 each, Double booths are approx. 12d x 32w for $200 each.
  • Full Market commitment required (one/two day commitment).
  • Limited spaces available for each Market.
  • Applications are reviewed on the 1st and 14th of every month. Creatives will be informed of the jury’s decision within 2-4 business days after being reviewed. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into a Market.
  • Exclusivity is not guaranteed to any one Creative, but precautions will be taken to limit duplication of similar items/mediums and spacing out Creatives with similar products.

  • Market Policies Our mission is to provide opportunities for Creatives, representing all mediums, to market and sell their handmade/original designed products to the public. VALUES: We ask that you respect and are responsible towards other Creatives, our volunteers, and the borrowed areas of The Great Lakes Market LLC. APPLICATION: Applications are reviewed on the 1st and 14th of every month. Creatives will be informed of the jury’s decision within 2-4 business days after being reviewed. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into a Market. Exclusivity is not guaranteed to any one Creative, but precautions will be taken to limit duplication of similar items/mediums and spacing out Creatives with similar products. CREATIVE SPACES: Single spaces are 14’-16’ wide x 12’ deep for outdoor Markets, 10’-12’ wide x 10’ deep for indoor Markets. Each Creative is responsible for providing tables, tents (white preferred), tent weights/stakes, chairs, and display surfaces. Tents at our May Market need to be weighted (min. 30 pounds per leg), tents at our July/September Markets must be staked. Tents must fit in the space provided and be able to withstand inclement weather. Tents must be fully weighted/staked on all corners so it is secure despite wind. It is the Creative’s responsibility to ensure that tents will never become a threat to other Creatives or attendees. No booth sharing unless approved by The Great Lakes Market LLC. Each potential applicant must apply individually and be accepted to participate as such. Creatives are fully responsible for their own personal property. Neither The Great Lakes Market LLC nor the venue will assume liability for any losses that you may incur including overnight stays of the Market. We strongly advise that Creatives carry their own insurance. Any damages, accidents, or injuries caused by a Creatives’ set-up or goods will be the sole responsibility of that Creative, and will be liable for any and all fees. The Great Lakes Market LLC is not responsible for any personal injury during setup, Markets, or take-down. FEES: Creatives are required to pay booth fees in full in prior to the Market(s). Single booths are $125 per Market, double booths are $200 per Market. A full Market commitment is required, Creatives are not allowed to do only a partial day. If an application is denied, a full refund will be issued. REFUNDS: Once accepted into a Market, The Great Lakes Market LLC will not issue any refunds or credits under any circumstances. This includes unforeseeable events including but not limited to pandemic outbreaks, new regulations prohibiting gatherings, Creative (or staff) contracting COVID-19, government regulations, or other weather related events. In the case that you have to cancel or simply cannot attend please email thegreatlakesmarket@gmail.com as soon as possible. No-shows without any communication will affect future acceptances. INCLEMENT WEATHER: The Great Lakes Market LLC may adjust hours of the Market due to forces of nature or other occurrences beyond our control in the name of safety. Such changes will not be considered a breach of the policies, and will not constitute grounds for a refund. FOOD: “Food Makers” are considered those selling food that is cooked on site and edible on site as well as pre-packaged items that may or may not fall under the Cottage Industry standards. Food Makers will be held responsible for disposing of any and all waste products including grease, oil, or similar items on the site. Food Makers are required to abide by all City, State, and Federal Regulations that apply to their business and their presence at a Market. The Great Lakes Market LLC is not responsible to provide food-specific guidelines to Makers. Quiet generators are required. Food trucks are not allowed at our Market at Uptown Bay City. No electricity/water is available at any of our Markets. STATE SALES TAX: Creatives are responsible for collecting and reporting their own sales tax. Approved applicants are solely responsible for maintaining their compliance with relevant state, local, and federal health regulations, codes, licenses, insurance, and taxes. MEDIA RELEASE/CONSENT: Photos or video, including sound, may be taken at this event of you, your booth, and/or your products or works and used to promote this and future events by The Great Lakes Market LLC, its affiliates, and other advertising entities. RIGHTS: The Great Lakes Market LLC has the right to move, remove, or limit the participation of any Creative at any time for any reason.
